Refund & Billing Policy

Last reviewed

This policy explains what happens to a membership after a cancellation, refund, dispute, or failed payment. It applies alongside the Subscription Terms.

1. Cancellation is not a refund

Canceling a membership stops future monthly charges. It does not reverse a charge that has already been made, and it does not create a refund or a prorated credit for the remainder of the period you have already paid for.

Unless applicable law requires otherwise, membership access continues until the end of the paid billing period after you cancel.

2. Who processes a refund

Memberships are sold by the creator as merchant of record using direct charges to the creator's own Stripe account. A refund is therefore issued by the creator, or by the payment processor acting on the creator's behalf, and is subject to the creator's own refund practices and to applicable law.

Dollar Fan Club does not hold membership funds on the creator's behalf and cannot guarantee that a discretionary refund request will be granted.

3. What a full refund does to your access

If a membership charge is refunded in full, the platform treats the corresponding membership period as no longer paid: subscriber-only access for that period is revoked, and any giveaway entries that were granted because of that payment stop counting as eligible support entries.

This happens automatically when the refund is reported to the platform by the payment processor.

4. Partial refunds

A partial refund does not revoke membership access for the period it relates to. The membership remains active until it is canceled or the paid period ends.

There is no promise of a prorated or partial refund merely because you cancel, unless applicable law requires one.

5. Chargebacks and payment disputes

If you open a chargeback or payment dispute with your bank or card issuer, the platform treats the disputed membership period as unpaid: subscriber-only access for that period is revoked, and support entries granted by that payment stop counting as eligible.

Because the creator is the merchant of record, the creator bears the financial consequences of a chargeback, including any dispute fee charged by the payment processor. Contacting the creator or Dollar Fan Club first is usually faster than a dispute.

6. Failed and retried payments

If a renewal payment fails, the payment processor may retry the charge according to its standard retry behavior. While a payment is unpaid, membership access can be limited or removed, and the membership may be canceled if payment is never completed.

You can update your payment method at any time in the billing/customer portal.

7. Creator closure and terminated memberships

If a creator closes their account or their subscriptions are terminated, future renewals are canceled. Closure alone does not automatically refund charges that have already been made; any refund remains subject to Section 2 and applicable law.

8. Giveaways are not affected by refund status alone

No purchase is necessary to enter eligible giveaways where a free entry method is offered, and a free entry does not depend on any payment. Only entries that were granted because of a payment are affected when that payment is refunded or disputed.

Eligibility, odds, and entry mechanics for any promotion are governed by that promotion's Official Rules.
